We are very satisfied with this product!Large mouth is great for catching just about any ball hit off a tee or during soft toss.Solid construction can be left out all season.Large stable base comes with stakes for securing item, but not necessary.Very easy for one person to assemble, no tools necessary.Sock slides over easily and fits securely.Large area for collecting balls, opens for emptying into bag or bucket.I have 3 ball players who are working on perfecting their swings.They can go right out into the yard alone or with each other.We were not looking for a portable screen, but if necessary it is easy enough to break down for storage over the winter.Also doubles as a back stop for pitching and lacrosse shooting drills.

Impact LED Illuminated Badminton Set Review

I wasn't expecting a super-high quality badminton set to have LED lights in it, but this one is a joke.

Construction is way more difficult than it should be, partly because the bolts that come with the set aren't the right length--all four are too long--and partly because the directions are written poorly and placed on the page in a bizarre layout.All I can say is that I am leaving the top pole segments attached to the net permanently so I don't ever have to go through that experience again.Unfortunately, no bag or case is provided, so I will have to lug around an awkward jumble of stuff if I ever want to travel with this thing, which I do.

The birdies came pre-smushed.

The light in one of the racquets didn't work, but fortunately the one line in the instructions that was helpful advised that re-seating the batteries (required:mini screwdriver, not provided) might work, and it did.

Note that the net requires 3 AA batteries, which isn't mentioned in the description here.

On the plus side, the LED lights do look pretty darn cool when they work.We haven't played with the set yet (or put up the net, which no doubt will provide more "entertainment" given the poor quality of the materials and thoughtless design) so we don't know whether the birdies will keep working during play--according to reviews on Target's site, the birdies' lights tend to go off after a few whacks. Guess I'd better keep that mini screwdriver handy to re-seat the batteries, always a fun thing to do in the midst of a badminton match.

Rollerblade Astro 50 Inline Skates Review

*** 2 month update:One Star, now.Frame rivets are showing significant fatigue.I know I skate hard, but I expect better.What good are they, if the frames are loose or unstable? ***

In my opinion, this is one of the best skates for the price, but it's still got some drawbacks.

Pros:Comfortable with less solid plastic, 82A wheels are harder than most that come with skates, aluminum frames.

Cons:Sticks can get stuck in the metal crossbar on the frame.Brake support is hard to remove, and those dipwads at Rollerblade don't include an extra axle.Only come with 80mm wheels.(compatable with 84mm wheels)

Advice:The insert that comes with the skate is junk.(Aren't they all.)Put in a good, solid flat insert.This will also keep the inner boot from slipping out of the frame.(Inner boots are removeable for faster drying.)
