This is a well-made, solid LED flashlight that is perfect for those needing a red light option as well as white.Using the red light is great when you don't need such a bright light or don't want to bother others who might be sleeping nearby.

There are 12 white LEDs, and 7 red LEDs.You switch each set on or off with a separate pushbutton switch that isn't likely to get pressed accidentally in a bag.A partial press of the button when the light is on will temporarily turn the light off so you can quickly "flash" the lights if you wish to get someone's attention.

The white light is very bright with a nice even pattern without a "hot spot" of light in the middle.

I like that it uses 3 AAA batteries instead of some hard-to-find battery.
